Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a resident of Lower Merion Township,
Montgomery County, has been elected President of Bala Cynwyd's
civic association, "The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd."
His term will begin on January 1, 2003. Mr. Lindy was Vice
President of the civic association in 2002, and Secretary
in 2001. The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd, one of the
oldest civic associations in the Delaware Valley, regularly
monitors commercial development, zoning, safety and security
issues, and is a frequent presence at County and Township
hearings and meetings. July 2002
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's
Board of Governors, delivered remarks on behalf of the Bar
Association at the Naturalization Ceremony which was held
on July 2, 2002, in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the United
States Courthouse. Approximately 90 new citizens from many
different countries became naturalized at that time. Mr. Lindy's
remarks focused on the historical significance of that event
for the new citizens, and the fact that his family is also
of immigrant background.
January 2002
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a sole practitioner in Philadelphia,
has been elected to serve as the Chair of the Board of Governors
of the Philadelphia Bar Association for 2002. Mr. Lindy was
elected to lead the Board at the Association's annual retreat
this past January 19, 2001. He has been an elected member
of the Association's Board of Governors since 2000, and serves
on numerous Committees and Sections of the Association. Mr.
Lindy is also an officer of the Federal Bar Association, Philadelphia
County Chapter, serving as Membership Chair and Chair of Publicity
for the Criminal Law Committee. He is also the Vice President
of the civic association of Bala Cynwyd, and is a board member
of the Gateway School, a preschool located in Lower Merion
Township.
