Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a resident of Montgomery County
with law offices in Philadelphia, has been elected to the
Board of Directors of Bala Cynwyd's civic association, "The
Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd." Mr. Lindy was elected to
the Board at the Annual Meeting on November 14, 2000, at which
time he was also elected to serve as the Secretary of the
association in 2001. For decades, the Neighborhood Club of
Bala Cynwyd has established itself as one of the area's leading
civic associations. The Club regularly monitors commercial
development, zoning, and safety and security issues, and is
a frequent presence at County and Township hearings and meetings.
While serving as an officer of Bala Cynwyd's civic association,
Mr. Lindy will continue his activities as a board member of
the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he also serves as
co-chair of the Membership Committee and as a member of the
Nominating Committee. Mr. Lindy is vice-chair of the Federal
Bar Association -- Criminal Law Committee, and is a faculty
member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. January 2000
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a sole practitioner, was elected
to the Philadelphia Bar Association's Board of Governors at
the annual election held on December 7, 1999. Mr. Lindy was
the only candidate to be unanimously endorsed by every legal
organization that offered endorsements in this election. As
a result of his election, Mr. Lindy will serve a three year
term as a member of the Board of Governors. Additionally,
Mr. Lindy has been appointed by the Philadelphia Bar Association's
Chancellor to serve as Co-Chair of the Membership/Bar Placement
Committee for 2000.
Mr. Lindy has been active with the Philadelphia Bar Association
for many years and has served in a variety of different leadership
roles, including co-chairing the Civil Rights Committee. In
addition to his local bar activities, since 1996, Mr. Lindy
has been an officer of the Federal Bar Association's Criminal
Law Committee (Eastern District of Pa. Chapter) and is currently
its Vice-Chair. Additionally, Mr. Lindy is a faculty member
of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and, in recent
years, has been appointed as a faculty instructor in training
seminars for federal court-appointed attorneys.
